Have you seen this: . It looks to me as if you are not the only one thinking of this.
Using OpenCL on the Epiphany you have different issues to solve than on a GPU but right at the moment, it seems that solving those problems is where we are up to. If you want to have a go at the corner detection algorithm you need to come to grips with all of the issues surrounding getting the data stored in the OpenCV data structures onto the Epiphany and reworking the algorithms to take advantage of the chip's strengths. The work that the OpenCV community is currently doing will get you some of the way there but to get over the line, you'll need to get your own brain cells cranked up.
And when you are done, please write a blog post entitled, "OpenCV on the Epiphany - Porting and expanding modules". I'd be fascinated to read it.
