Is anyone using the doRedis package with the Parallella running workers? I'm using a linux cloud solution currently, but am interested in the possibility of using the Parallella board with the doRedis package.
Thanks!

Yes I do.
Am running 4 parallellas with R and doRedis on each, connecting to a (desktop) redis server. Works fine. No epiphany involved though.

Thanks censix. However, isn't epiphany the piece that gives the parallella board its 16 core capability? Are you able to somehow use the real parallel processing part of the parallella board to run redis workers (for example: 1 worker per core, equaling 16 workers on 1 parallella board)?
Thanks.

I havent tried to do that, no.
Would be interesting to see if it is at all possible to squeeze a redis client (ie. credis)
http://redis.io/clientsinto the 32k memory of one single Epiphany core ....
