Parallella IRC Channel?

These forums are absolutely great, but they lack the ability to have dynamic real-time discussions, where folks can share ideas, answer questions, and help each other work through issues. Therefore, I am curious if there has been any thought regarding the possibility of creating a Parallella IRC channel. I realize that Adapteva already has their hands full with development and production of the platform, as well as managing these forums, but once the final product starts to ship, I think having an IRC channel would be extremely useful.

Freenode would be my first choice as well, but the question is if Adapteva is interested in having an official Parallella IRC channel, in addition to these forums.

There is already #parallella on freenode.net. Please feel free to join in the discussion there.

However, our intention is to concentrate on the forums, for a couple of reasons. First the forums provide a central permanent record (I know there are organizations who independently archive some freenode discussions). Secondly, with a relatively small team providing support, we'll spread ourselves too thinly - as you know IRC can be a very big time consumer.

Wow, I feel like an idiot, as I didn't think to check Freenode again, after my initial check back in early to mid December. Since I did not see any mention of it on the parallella.org website nor on the forums, I just assumed that one had not been setup yet. Anyway, thanks for creating an official Parallella IRC channel for us to use in addition to the forums.
